New Asian Restaurants in Omaha
Ok I could swear that I read someplace that a new asian fusion/sushi place was opening somewhere on 72nd. Now I cant find it. Any ideas of what the heck I am thinking of??
Re: new asian on 72nd
I think Blue and Fly is fairly new. It is located in the corner of the strip mall by Russel Stovers on 72nd. They have an interesting menu. I had the braised short ribs one night. It was something else.swgiust wrote:Ok I could swear that I read someplace that a new asian fusion/sushi place was opening somewhere on 72nd. Now I cant find it. Not on 72nd, but 84th street and Highway 370 "Wild Rice Sushi".
They was activity there today (Sunday) so possibly they are open.

I ate lunch at Blue Fly Asian Kitchen today. For the most part I was impressed. Rather attractive for a strip mall Chinese place. Beer and wine are available. There is a two page Traditional Chinese menu that will be unfamiliar (or off-putting) to most Omahans.
I loved the wonton soup, but was less impressed with my main course. Still, I will be back. Service was fine.

We have eaten several meals from the traditional Chinese menu and the specials on the wall. Very enjoyable.nativeomahan wrote:I ate lunch at Blue Fly Asian Kitchen today.
