Midtown Crossing wrote:Film Streams to Partner with Turner Park’s Popular Monday Night at the Movies Series

Omaha, Neb. – Fresh air, first-rate movies and one really big screen. Back by popular demand, Midtown Crossing is lining up a blockbuster edition of Monday Night at the Movies, sponsored by the University of Nebraska Omaha.
New this year is a partnership with Film Streams, Omaha’s non-profit cinema. Moviegoers will enjoy a special Film Streams feature – Charlie Chaplin’s Modern Times – on Monday, June 20 when the organization’s Ruth Sokolof Theater in North Downtown closes for the first week of the College World Series.
The movie series runs seven weeks, June 6 – July 25. Turner Park opens at 5 p.m. and all outdoor movies – free and open to the public – roll at sunset on a 26-foot outdoor inflatable screen. Chicago Dawg House will sell ‘dawgs and concessions in the park each week.

2016 Monday Night at the Movies Lineup:
· June 6: Inside Out (PG)
· June 13: Top Gun (PG)
· June 20: Film Streams feature: Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times (G)
· June 27: A League of Their Own (PG)
· July 11: Ferris Bueller's Day Off (PG-13)
· July 18: Guardians of the Galaxy (PG-13)
· July 25: Pitch Perfect 2 (PG-13)

Glad that they keep continuing this. Maybe in a few years when my kids are old enough I can go again.

Third Annual Holiday Lights Spectacular to Brighten Holidays, Impact Local Nonprofits
Midtown Crossing wrote:Omaha, Neb. – Midtown Crossing is set to illuminate and amplify the holiday season once again. The Holiday Lights Spectacular, a true sight and sound experience, returns to Turner Park in late November for a third year in a row.
Featuring an enthusiastic blend of holiday music and light projected onto Midtown Crossing’s condominium buildings, this season’s evening shows will run Thursday through Sunday, launching on Saturday, November 26, and continuing through Sunday, January 1, 2017. The show lasts approx. 20-minutes each night and is being orchestrated by Holiday Lights Spectacular veteran FadeUp Design Group. (For a true view of the 2015 Holiday Lights Spectacular, check out this video.)
New in 2016 – Midtown Crossing and the Holiday Lights Spectacular are proud to be partnering with three impactful nonprofits to raise money and awareness. Children representing each organization will “flip the switch” to start the shows during that nonprofits’ featured week – and donations will be collected at Midtown Crossing retailers.
· Dec 1-4: Child Saving Institute
· Dec 8-11: Girls, Inc.
· Dec 15-18: Teammates
As it has in year’s past, the Holiday Lights Spectacular will complement Midtown Crossing’s other holiday happenings, including:
· Family Fun Day | Saturday, November 26 | 3-6 p.m. – An array of family-focused, fun and free activities, including a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, capped by the premiere of the Holiday Lights Spectacular
· Winter Warm-up | Saturday, December 3 | 2-5 p.m. – Warm cocktails served at Midtown Crossing restaurants paired with fun specials in the neighborhood’s retail stores
· Girls’ Day Out | Saturday, December 10 | all day – A “holiday open house” throughout the neighborhood designed to connect and recharge
· Ugly Sweater Crawl | Saturday, December 17 | all day – Specials, discounts, activities for anyone wearing an ugly sweater
In addition and throughout the season, guests will enjoy a beautifully-decorated Christmas tree in Farnam Court (32nd and Farnam), and a neighborhood adorned in the tens of thousands of decorative white LED lights. The Holiday Lights Spectacular is free to the public, three hours of garage parking included.
