Long time lurker, first time poster. Hot rumor in Midtown is the owners of Dinkers purchased Mcflys. Does anyone else have light to shine on this?

Welcome SomeGuy. I had not heard of Synowiecki buying McFly's, Jeff Lampe still owns it as far as I know.

We live in the area. There have been a few cars there each day and a dumpster filling up on the east side. Dinkers is iconic for midtown, but the mcflys spot gives them a ton of space.

Did they ever build their Beer Garden? Last I heard McFly's wanted to include a beer garden there...

The new owner was evicted for not paying rent is the word I've heard.

Review: Paddy McGown’s is everything a neighborhood bar and grill should be

Sarah Baker Hansen wrote:I nodded. It was good. The menu at Paddy McGown’s is affordable, filling and pairs well with cold beer, all things that, I think, are requirements at the kind of reliable neighborhood bar the restaurant shaped up to be.
I found little to complain about during two recent evenings — maybe the lack of a Cubs game on one of the television sets one night, but not much else.
