"Grover" sculpture and Al Veys

Postby mr. omaha » Mon Mar 13, 2017 5:17 pm

I just read that there used to be a big blue sculpture in front of the City-County building downtown that looked a lot like the one at Pipal Park. Apparently, Mayor Al Veys ordered it removed. Does anyone have any photos showing the sculpture downtown? Also, anyone know what happened to it?

Here is the original thread on this topic. http://www.eomahaforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=11178. The Pipal Park sculpture was made from debris from the 1975 Omaha tornado. https://muse.jhu.edu/article/599777/summary. As I recall they did look very similar.
