China Garden is finally moving from its hidden spot behind the Shriner's building into Canfield plaza next to Red Eye Tavern on the 15th.

Oh nice! They have good food, but up until now it has really only been a take out sort of place.

Is that the place that's lit up like a casino at night?

They mentioned on Grow Omaha last weekend that this will be a 5000 SQ FT restaurant with a couple hundred thousand dollar remodel.

They are going to have regular menu items, but also some tables will have grills built in where you can cook your own food at the table.

The sign says "BBQ Hot Pot". I assume there was maybe a bit of language error. Hopefully they have BBQ and Hot Pot built into the tables. I think this would be Omaha's first Hot Pot restaurant?

Example hot pot photo pulled off of Google:

You're doing it wrong! They have (had? Did they move yet?) a dining room. Unless they got rid of their Szechuan Chinese menu, this was one of only a couple places in Omaha to get authentic Szechuan Chinese food.

You guys got me hungry now. Haven't had hot pot for a couple months.

I just called them, they are hoping to be open at the new location in a couple weeks.

The Korean place on South 72nd Street near Pacific has cooking at the table options. Is that the same?
