Los Portales

Post by peterjack »

wo words: GO NOW

An order of mixed fajitas (shrimp, beef and chicken) and enchiladas (four enchiladas, choice of steak, chicken, or chorizo if you ask real nice and bat your eyelashes) plus two iced teas was under $25 and we will have enough food for six total meals. And it is just good stuff.

I have no idea if this is considered "authentic" Mexican, but I'm guessing by the staff, clientele, and decor that it has to be pretty darn close.

I agree 100%, this place is charming and the food is bomb. Many of their recipes that I've had including the fish and the salsas are actually Mexican. I'm not sure if it's still open late, but I used to go there after a night of partying.

This former Subway building fools you as you pass by.
They make their own tortillas as salsa. Food is cheap.
Plus they have Goodrich Ice Cream.
Daaang, now I'm hungry...
