From an informative piece written by Sean Brennan in this week's Omaha City Weekly:
'A little dirt has been tossed around. Some concrete has been poured. And when you ask Jason Kulbel of Saddle Creek Records where the label’s project is currently at, he answers, “I think they starting to work on the parking lot.”
“We’re not going to hit 2006,” Kulbel said. “I guess we probably realized that about two months ago. It’s more likely to be spring of 2007. We’re going to be at the point fairly soon where we’ll be waiting on steel. So they’re busy doing a bunch of stuff down there around the building while they’re waiting for steel.”'..
Wow they have plenty of patients. If I where the developers I would be wanting names and making heads roll. Shell out that much money and no see |expletive| happen for weeks.
That seems to be a major delay lately, waiting for steel. Many projects are moving along, but slower than they should be. With all the construction going on in Dubai, Miami, Chicago, Philly, etc; it is no suprise the steel industry can't keep up.
