I also recommend the place. Ate there a couple of weeks back and it was great.

We ate there Friday for lunch, and it was quite good.  Huge portions.
I loved it that sitting at the next table were 4 sixty-something white men, with a couple of bottles of wine and large appetizer platters, just enjoying the sunny day, shooting the breeze...all en español!  Our little Havana!

I went here with my girlfriend a few months ago. We were the only people in the place, which was nice but sad. Great food, great atmosphere, and great host. The mojitos were incredible and we each had enough food left over for lunch the next day (we got an app and 2 entrees, which included rice and beans).

Highly recommended. I also noticed they have a coupon on restaurant.com, though you'll definitely want to wait for the $2 coupon sales and read the fine print before purchasing: http://www.restaurant.com/rdc/gusto-cub ... n=00044401

I've only been there once. I should go more often.

It is kind of hidden - off of Harrison and 79th, but once you go in...
Service was good, even though there was only one on the wait staff - Adrian - but he managed to serve all the tables there pretty well. Mamy items on the menu I would go back for and try.

We used the groupon here about a month ago. Definitely glad we gave it a try. Much different feel and taste than most restaurants in Omaha. The staff was very friendly as well. The dinners were in the $15-25 range, but with the groupon it didn't matter. I had the Lechon Caribeno, which is "Roasted Pork in our special Mojo sauce and Caribbean herbs, garlic and onions". The pork was tender and good to the last bite. Highly recommend if you are looking for something different.

Gusto Cuban - CLOSED

Post by BPHusker »

I drove by it on the way home today and noticed all the lights were off. When I got home I checked online and saw it had closed. Does anyone know why and how long they've been closed? I went there in September and it seemed pretty busy.

We were there two days before it closed. The wait staff said the owners were retiring.

So are there any other good Cuban restaurants around Omaha/Lincoln?
