The 123-year-old jail will be open three days a week from Friday, Nov. 28, through Sunday, Dec. 28.

Hours will be Friday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Dec. 26, noon to 5 p.m.; Friday, Dec. 5, 12 and 19, 5 to 8:30 p.m.; and Saturdays and Sundays, noon to 6 p.m.

The jail, a National Historic Landmark, will feature Christmas items and decorations from the Art Rogers collection. Postcards from the collection will be on display at the Historic General Dodge House.

Coupons for $1 off jail admission are available at the Council Bluffs Public Library, Union Pacific Railroad Museum, Dodge House and Western Historic Trails Center.

Cool.

My initial reaction was that it had been turned into a restaurant/bar by the same name, which actually could be pretty |expletive| sweet.

We went there for the halloween tour. Definitely spooky, well worth 5 bucks to get in. Spoke to the medium there, and saw some pretty eerie photos (it is haunted). The guide and people there told similar stories of apparitions (at different times, apart from each other) that meshed up. UNO was there a couple years ago and caught stuff on camera that is on display. I want to go back and see if we can find anything while we are there.
