I would like some cookies and a pair of Boy london leggings.
seriously though, my main wish for Omaha this year is for that godawful hole on 12th and Jackson to finally get built up, no matter what goes there, really. It's going on five years now that there's been a giant dirt patch in one of the most important areas of Omaha and it's gotta go.

1. More transportation options (biking, better bus routes, planning of streetcar/light rail). Starting of Harney St. Bikeway!
2. More tourist attractions and events
3. Revitalize Leavenworth st from saddle creek to downtown
4. More tenants in Aksarben Village, Midtown Crossing, and Downtown
5. Start a plan to fuse midtown crossing and downtown together.
6. Crossroads Development
7. Change the land use so we can increase density, build up, and phase out the suburbia vibe within the city limits.
8. Plan for a building on 11th and jackson (where the farmers market is located. Move the market to the streets in front of this building.)
9. Year round farmers market or food market downtown
10. Make the old market car-free on friday and saturday nights. Section off the area with cones and let people fill up the streets.

I was just on 40th and Hamilton yesterday. This area has so much potential. There are some cool historic buildings and LOTS of land for infill development.
Plus, there are lots of big warehouses closer to Cuming St that could be converted to mixed use and help tie the area together. This could become another hot spot like Benson or Dundee. A hip area with a vintage vibe.
