Big E wrote:I just happened to notice today that the WernerPark.com billboard on westbound 80 (maybe between 42nd and 60th?) points out its location in Sarpy County, with no mention of Omaha (that I saw...  might be some in fine print).  Went to the website and the only mention of Omaha is in the team name.

Went to the link for Sarpy County on the ballpark site and you'd be hard pressed to even make the assumption that Sarpy County is anywhere near Omaha based on the information on the site.

Just sayin'.
I was on the Storm Chaser's web page and within about 3 seconds saw "Omaha" three times.  Just sayin...

You also hear "Omaha" a bunch of times on Fox Sports KC during Royals games when they talk about the prospects here.  They never have said Sarpy County.

Which is an entirely different website than the one I was talking about.  There's a lot more mentions of Omaha on Omaha.com, as well.

Just sayin'...
Stable genius.

Sounds good.  You would expect those in Sarpy County to highlight that it is actually located there.  Just going with what Brad stated in that we need to think about this and other things in terms of the Metro Area, not to confine our thinking to city limits only, that would sell us short.

It a good show.  Usually Trenton and Jeff, sometimes me or another co-host.  Usually two or three guests.  Every once in a while there is a call in show where Trenton Jeff Lou and I take calls about city development.  Haven't done one of those in a while.

Usually at the beginning of the shot they discuss whats going on in town.  If there is a lot going on, they will take about it after each commercial break too.

I really enjoyed the show. I listened to the January 28th show and found it very interesting. Never knew that we had all those low-key conventions before.

One question - where do you go to find the information you do about building permits? I've searched online and never can find any really good information. Most of it is parcel information about who owns the land, which tells me nothing about what is going on at the site. Is there somewhere I'm missing? Or is it something you have to go downtown for?

One thing I've been looking for is the building going up at 108th & Corby across from the Taco Johns. I was told by someone that Jimmy Johns is moving out of the strip mall in Bag n Save and moving there but can't find any information to confirm it.

I find some of it in the Building Permits in the paper.  I also look through the city council agendas.  If there are any zoning issues ore modifications to the plat they will be in the city council agenda, usually with a drawing.
