??- Industrial Site E. of Burlington Station

Post by Calibraskan »

Does Anybody Know?.......

What is, and what is the status of, that (Chemical Plant??) along the river east of Burlington Station.....
Talk about something that should be demo'd ASAP!! This site makes the Doubletree look like an urban monument.....And what a prime view for the casino hotels. At reception do they ask: "Would you like a river...(I mean chemical plant) view, or an I-29 view?"

All this focus on North Downtown....What's planned for SoDo?
And, It looks like further south there is a significant band of timber right along the river....any plans for this to be 'park-ated"?? Not too long ago I somehow dead-ended in this area and thought "What a place to stash a body!"

Don't say SoDo :) .

Yeah just call It LoDo. There was a dream one time of getting rid of that place and beatifying it but nothing else has ever been said. That would be a cool place for some canals and mid-rise around them.

Yea, we should really fix this area up to give people better views of the Douglas county correctional facility!

I'm not sure what the status of that plant is but OPPD is looking to divest of some property just south of ConAgra on the river (they would keep a substation in the area).
