I really like the idea, but I don't care for any of the photos in it now. The Sunset over the water is fine, but it seems to be a bit crooked.

I have several photos somewhere that will fit those proportions. I will see if I can track them down. I had to get a bunch of samples together for a company to pick one.

Not sure aerials will work for the header, it would be hard to fit in those proportions. That's a really narrow proportion.

I added a pic of Werner Park shot at tonight's game with the needed dimensions in mind...

Wow, that was tough... 1150 x 190 was even smaller than what I already had done in the past... Here are 15 and I still have 3 or 4 I am trying to track down.

Don't use these copies, they are not high enough resolution for the header and they will look bad.... I can get higher resolution copies later, pulled all these off my website and facebook.

1. Old Market - fortunately at this crop, it looses the cool sunset we had that night.

2. Omaha Skyline with sunset.

3. Werner Park / Omaha Storm Chasers with a Huge Crows and decent sunset.

4. Durham Museum

5. Rainbow over Heartland of America Park

6. ConAgra in the Spring

7. Probably shouldn't post this one, not up to my current standards, but still kind of cool. This was back when Harra's did fireworks

9. Abbott Drive View

Those look fantastic Brad, thank you for offering your talents for the betterment of our forum!

BTW, I am starting a new thread in the Welcome to Omaha forum, (since unregistered people can post there) for people to request pics for the banner, or for any development/project/event/landmark, that you would like to ask some of our great photographers to post.

Thanks Brad, I've put that in the cue, different monitors will show more or less of the right edges of these photos, my iPad only goes to the MoO building.

I'm not able to figure this out, but from that angle, what is the skyline structure above the HoA fountain?

Request: Rename ”Omaha City Government" sub to "Onaha Metro Area Government," or something similar. Many of the threads discuss surrounding communities.

Same here!
My son got a 27 on his ACT. No this score is not as high as what Jeff's son achieved. But one has to remember the paternal gene-pool my son has to overcome. On a PGPAB [Paternal Gene-Pool Adjusted Basis], my son's score is a 37 and Jeff's son's PGPAB ACT score is 19.

Can we submit photos for possible headers? Panos are one of my favorites to take.

Certainly, anyone can submit a pano for our consideration,
Or ask that a certain place be added to the cue,
Or even ask for one if the pics to move up in the cue...

It's happening again, on the mobile site. Google chrome on my iPhone. I looked at this thread and the most recent post was from Coyote on August 9th. The Minneapolis Hy Vee thread was rolled back too. But, when I clicked post reply on here, all of the posts reappeared. I'm 100% sure.

My name is DJ Cartledge, and I am an online website optimization consultant for small-to-mid size businesses. I came across your website http://www.eomahaforums.com and have noticed a few things that can be improved on your site to help you rank better in search engines and ultimately drive more traffic to your webpage. For example, currently your website is ranking at 1st position of 38th page for the keyword best burger detroit which can be easily improved, along with other keywords which are on your target list. (This can be improved very quickly, in fact.) I would be happy to review your site more closely and give you a free quote on how you can improve your website and traffic.
Best Burger Detroit? I blame NovakOmaha on this...

We get 4-5 of these a day for some sites we run for clients.

Some of them are hilarious, as they are obviously machine-generated and have very strange context in many cases. One of them tried to sell us a service on how we could improve our search ranking on some very obscure clinical terms hidden deep within an article on the site! :)

When I use my iPad I go in using the default browser. I always get logged out and have to log back in with each new view of this site. I can go page to page and it works fine. This started about 4-6 or so months ago. Before that I could log in and it stayed logged in all the time. Do not have this issue with a couple of other forums that I use the iPad the same way to browse.

I don't use third party browsers never understood why I should since safari works absolutely fine except for this site for some reason. And according to the stats Safari is still the most used mobile browser so it should be the highest priority for comparability.

Something that could be tried:
https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop ... p=14264116

Another thing I saw mentioned Session IP validation (but this was 3.0 - although could still apply):
https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop ... &t=1478395

I'll try to use Safari for a while on my phone and see if I come across it.

I'm still having issues with posts vanishing while using Chrome on my iPhone. The TD Ameritrade Park thread is the most recent example. From the Urban Section, I can see that EastCB made the most recent post. If I click the "View Unread Posts" button, it shows the post by Busguy2010 as the most recent post. If I click on the last page of the thread from the urban section, it shows a post from Brad on January 15 as the most recent post. This problem crops up at random on various threads in every section, and changes which threads it affects every few days. I had it on my old 5S, and still now on my 6S.
