Now the suspect is also dead. Under investigations, but they were thinking heart attack.

Here is a crazy "Crime in Omaha" story...

We live in what I think is a nice quite neighborhood where not much happens. Last summer I forgot to close the garage door. It was before we had sensors on our garage door for our alarm system. Anyways someone went in to the garage and in to my wife's car and took her old ipad. It was old and hardly ever used so we didn't even fill out a police report.

Several months went by and we get a random call from the Kansas State Patrol. They had a high speed chase in Kansas City with a stolen car from Blair. When they finally got the car stopped, it was full of stolen items, including the ipad.

They sent all the stolen items back to Blair and we went and got our ipad back. The Blair policeman told us they were still trying to piece everything back together so we don't know if it was the guy from the KC police chase that was in our house, but crazy to think of!

Wow, that is crazy they were able to track you down. How did they do that since you didn't file a police report? Did you have the iPad registered?

One dead, 2 injured in the shooting this morning..

If it's any consolation, this would be only the 3rd homicide for Omaha this year. Coming off a record 50 homicides last year, we've gotten off to a great start in 2016.. But we all know the warm/hot weather months are right around the corner...

Maybe I understood wrong, but the impression I got was that there were 3 brothers involved with one woman, one of whom was married to her, and had come home early to some shenanigans with his wife and another brother(s)??

Too bad there was a homicide, because this could have been quite the Jerry Springer comedy skit.

And only 3 murders in the first quarter of 2016? That's pretty amazing, even considering that hunting season is busiest in the warm, summer months.

I think Omaha, in the Homicide Arena, could take Des Moines and definitely Lincoln in a fight to the death. Kansas City might be able to take us though if it came down to true gladiatorial combat. I'd still pay for the show for sure.

For a while, Lincoln outpaced Omaha for murders in 2016. That big gang related RICO indictment a few months ago may have had something to do with slowing violent gang activity so far.

I think a few groups on Prospect alone, in North KC, could take Omaha. That place is a third world sh*thole.

That house was on my paper route in 1971. Believe it or not that neighborhood was over ridden with trash and scum even then. I had to quit that route because that very street had a 6ft 3in black kid who decided I was going to have to pay him 2 dollars a day toll to walk down his street. :(

lmfao!!! I'm sorry, but this struck me as absolutely hilarious!

The visual of you being accosted by some street thugs, as you were presumably on your mail rout, is priceless :D

There's also a $2 toll per day for eOmahaforums.

That said, I think 2 were related, not that makes it better.

1. 41 & Spencer - Male Dead
2. 48 & Boyd - Female Dead
3. 41 & Spencer - Person shot and Injured

Plus, to add to the bad day on 41st Street:
41 & Madison - One killed, one in serious condition after Truck vs Motorcycle.

Throughout the day/evening while at work, my phone kept blowing up with notifications of multiple shootings and serious traffic accidents.. I was wondering what the he!! was going on in Omaha today.. For nearly 3 months, Omaha was tooling along with only 2 homicides for 2016.. Then bam! 4 homicides in the past week.. Making up for lost time I guess :( ...

Another strange one...

@MeanStreetsOMA wrote:Medic now requested at 34th and Redman Ave. where Officer asked for backup earlier. Two cars were ramming each other before police arrived.

@action3news wrote:Two drivers in custody after car accident turned road rage. 2-yr-old boy in one vehicle is unharmed.

And then there is this one...
