I was unaware that he was even sick. I would argue that David Bowie influenced the modern aesthetic as much, if not more than, Picasso or Rothko or Charlie Chaplin or any other aesthetes of the last 100 years. He was a giant.

Surprising how many people watch that show. I was really suprised at some of the people I saw post or repost that on Facebook that I would have not thought followed the program.

The first few years were good, but then season where the Hoffman's were in the Jungle was hard to watch but then the season after that was good. I watch it on Hulu so I haven't seen the most recent season that just finished.

I think Replacing Fred and Dustin with Tony Beets was a great move. Tony is more interesting than Fred and Dustin. Tony's Gold Dredge is really cool too.

I love watching Gold Rush. I had President's Day off the year that it started and they were having a marathon all day. I just got into the show back then. This is the only show on cable that I like to be home to watch. There is just something about a few guys chasing their dreams and living out in a remote area that I like.

I agree with Brad that watching Todd and crew in the jungle was tough. I could be wrong but I think Todd's group is moving into the lower 48 next year to do gold mining. I am not sure, why they would leave the Klondike after having their best season ever.

A guy at work was telling me that.
I can't decide. They are the group the show producers can manipulate? They are the group that is looking for a get rich quick scheme? The Grass is always green on the other side? They want to be closer to home?

That group is always a little suspect to me. Where is Parker, working. Where is Tony Beets, Working. Where is Feddy Dodge, Working. But most of the time, where do they find Todd? In his trailer...

IT looks like Todd's group is going after a gold mine in Oregon for next season. This season just ended and I DVR it and watched the last one Sat night.

Parker is looking at buying ground of his own the way the end of the season was spun. One of the options to buy is the ground that Todd's group had the lease on. That seems to pe played as part of the reason they are moving on. They can't afford the ground and they are loosing their lease because of the sale.
