All of the following figures are based of population change from the 2000 census to the 2009 estimate.
Omaha has grown by 64,724 from 390,007 to 454,731, an increase of 16.59%
Lincoln has grown by 28,420 from 225,581 to 254,001, an increase of 12.6%
Bellevue has grown by 6,662 from 44,382 to 51,044 an increase of 15.01%
Grand Island has grown by 3,921 from 42,940 to 46,861 an increase of 9.13%
Kearney has grown by 3,313 from 27,431 to 30,744 an increase of 12.07%
Hastings has grown by 1,306 from 24,064 to 25,370 an increase of 5.42%
Fremont has shrunk by 1,016 from 26,023 to 25,007 a decrease of 3.9%
North Platte has grown by 259 from 23,878 to 24,137 an increase of 1.08%
Norfolk has grown by 332 from 22,940 to 23,272 an increase of 1.45%
Papillion has grown by 7,917 from 16,363 to 24,280 an increase of 48.38%
Columbus has grown by 943 from 20,971 to 21,914, an increase of 4.5%
La Vista has grown by 5,188 from 11,699 to 16,887 an increase of 44.35%
Scottsbluff has grown by 154 from 14,732 to 14,886 an increase of 1.05%
Beatrice has grown by 68 from 12,496 to 12,564 an increase of .54%
South Sioux City has grown by 288 from 11,925 to 12,213 an increase of 2.42%
