Post by Coyote »

The Best Cities For Raising A Family

No. 1 Raleigh, NC
Home base of the North Carolina State Wolfpack is one of America’s fastest growing cities of recent years, with an economic base led by banking and finance that’s pushed income levels into the upper third of America’s largest metro areas. Area public schools are generally strong, and crime is low.

No. 2 Grand Rapids, MI

No. 3 Ogden, UT

No. 4 Omaha, NE
Like its most famous native, Warren Buffet, Omaha is a steady-as-she-goes success story. The metro area features the nation’s third-highest percentage of residents owning their own homes (74.2%), and one of the lowest overall cost of living indexes.

No. 5 Youngstown, OH

No. 6 Des Moines, IA
Ranks right behind Ogden for most favorable spread between income and cost of living. Crime rate and commuting delays are also low.

No. 7 Boise, ID

No. 8 Scranton-Wilkes Barre, PA

No. 9 Cincinnati, OH

No. 10 Provo, UT

You usually don't see cities like Cincinnati on these types of lists, mildly interesting to see them there.
