Famous local state Brands

MAP: The Most Famous Brand From Every State

Nebraska could of had a worse brand, like Walmart (Arkansas), or Taco John's (Wyoming, but who knew they came from Wyoming...) Some of these brands you really do equate with the state Starbucks, Hershey's, Maytag, and Nike... But who knew Peavey came from Mississippi, or Albertson's from Idaho... It would make for good quiz questions though...

Cabella's probably is as widely known as any brand to date but after wasting decades Berkshire Hathaway is finally doing some branding. I'd say it's pretty widely known these days.

I think Cabelas works great. The only other company that people probably see a lot of is Union Pacific or Con Agra.

UP is a lot more popular west of Chicago.
While a lot people know the brands Con-Agra owns, they don't know the parent brand as well.

I agree with that. I know a lot of people that don't know that Banquet dinners are from ConAgra. They are probably the most popular frozen meals and no one knows that ConAgra is the parent company.

Most people here in Detroit and others I meet here in the east, when they find out I'm from Omaha and Nebraska ask first about Warren Buffett, then Mutual of Omaha and maybe Union Pacific. No one really brings up Cabellas. I'd lump Cabella's in with Bass Pro Shops. People know the names but really don't associate them with home states. Buffett and Mutual get brought up right away. I'd say Mutual goes with Omaha more than Nebraska.
