Keeping in mind... that list is ignoring a significant number of F500 companies which are in those cities respective metropolitan areas (example: Denver metro actually has 10).
That said, it's impressive that Omaha has so many in it's core.

Fortune 500 for 2008 includes four Nebraska companies:
http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/ ... es/NE.html
11. Berkshire Hathaway (less than $700 million separating them from the Top 10)
154. UP
210. ConAgra
385. Kiewit
525. MofO (dropped out of Top 500)
TD Ameritrade, Cabela's, Nelnet, West, and Werner make appearances in the Top 1000.
Myth and Urban Wine Company missed the list, although I'm certainly doing my part to get them on there.

Yes, all that money they pay me now to NOT work there is really killing them.
I certainly did my part at Myth last Friday to get them into the F500 range.

My goal is to assist Big E in getting Urban and Myth (and Nomad) in the top 1000DTO Luv wrote:OmahaJaysCU wrote:Losing DTO must have killed Mutual...Big E wrote:Fortune 500 for 2008 includes four Nebraska companies:
