There was an article on CNN.com today about banks selling repossessed homes for less than $1000 just to get them off the books.

Wrap your head around that for a minute.

I just got a job working as a census taker for the 2010 census which starts in the next month.  They are looking for tons of people and its temporary so if anyone is looking for some quick extra cash, its something to look at.
I believe in the expand-collapse theory of the universe, and when the universe collapses this time around the epicenter of the collapse (or the point of singularity) is Detroit..
I recently read a book by Carl Sagan and I think he mentioned something like this in there somewhere...  :)

Does anybody know why jobs in Texas are so good right now?  Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, and El Paso all grew in jobs.

Um well I know Dallas and Houston both are experiencing a really rapid growth in population. I'm also sure that there are plenty of companies that are relocating to Texas.. So it could just be a combination of the two.
