Omaha Council Approves Budget

WOWT wrote:Omaha's 2014 spending blueprint is on its way to Mayor Jean Stothert for her signature. After two hours of debate, the city council gave it the seal of approval Tuesday afternoon.

One item was a resolution to increase the ranks of the police force. The council was told that a city the size of Omaha needs at least 820 police officers. OPD currently has 780 on the street.
