If the same level of stupid was shown in defense of Chik-Fil-A he'd have people lined up making campaign donations and defending his rights to free speech.
So, if a politician was throwing the n-bomb around in relation to Grey, you would think the thought of him resigning a joke?
He'd totally have to resign.
But I don't think the n-bomb and bigotry towards gays are remotely on the same level as a tasteless stripper joke, either.

Should we bring up the tar baby reference by Michelle Bachmann?

No, probably not.
While I think Bachmann is a nutbag, I still do not think the comment was racially motivated. There are two levels of stupid here:
One, that someone aspiring to be president of the United States, uses an extremely derogatory racial term like 'tar baby' in a public forum
Or two, that someone aspiring to be president of the United States is too stupid to realize that the 'tar baby' reference has historically been used as a racial slur.
S33 wrote:What an idiot. Suttle's campaign is undoubtedly down 1 staffer as of today, or should be.
So in the last election, one of his staffers paid homeless people $5 each to go vote for him and parked a bus outside Sienna Francis house which caused a lot of PR damage for a homeless shelter without a budget for such. Â Now, his staffers retweet something this crude and disgusting?
At what point does it stop being his staffers' problem and start being his problem?
Suttle would take credit for something they did that was well received, and now he should take the blame here. Â He and Jerran should have to do some serious splaining in public and on the record. Â The idiot that did this, and the idiot that approved it should be right with them and they should be fired in public after they make their apology.
Oh, and they should get kicked in the junk on TV if their apologies include the word "if".

It annoyed me last night that one of the news stations was posting it in random order and not in order of who was leading....
Jean Stothert . Â . Â . Â . Â . Â . Â . Â . Â . Â 18,870 Â 32.20

So do you read this as it is basically Stothert's to lose, since all of the other Republican voters will file in like lemmings?
Or do you read it as Suttle's supporters assumed he'd make it through and didn't bother showing up for the primary, and the Democrat lemmings will show up next month?

I think there are still a lot of people who are not happy with Suttle and will vote for anyone other than Suttle. Â Given all the free publicity Stothert got in the last few weeks from her (anonymous) opponents, I am not too surprised with the results.

I heard a couple interestnig things on the radio this morning...
Suttle won zero districts west of 72nd Street.
Franklin T. Thompson received 7,340, almost as many votes as ALL the Candidates in North and South Omaha combined...
Garry Gernandt 2,700
Virgil J. Patlan, Sr. 1,241
Jacob Perasso 355
Ben Gray 1,550
Tariq Al-Amin 931
Bruce Hunter 789
Timothy Ashford 656
Dennis J. Womack 324
TOTAL - 8546
I would assume it will be closer in the General Election of the Predominately Democrat east Omaha shows up at the polls.
Did anyone else here Stothert and Suttle on KFAB (via phone) together this AM on KFAB? Â Not too bad of a converstation if you take out the fact that Jim Rose was an Assss the converation was good without saying anything. Â Amoung other things Rose Asked, and I parphrase but not much, You too hate each other, care to comment on why..,
For the record NEBUGEATER does not equal BUGEATER !!!!!!!

Unless Chris Janssen succeeds in getting some Jim Crow law with an emergency clause passed, I think the more liberal block in Omaha will come out and give her a run for her money.
Big E wrote:Run for the money, yes. But if I had to bet right now I think I'd bet on Stothert.
I mean, she has values. How do you run against values?
Because corruption and extortion aren't values. Â I can't more believe people aren't upset about it. (S33, don't give me the old, it's just politics argument and they are all corrupt)
The myopic electorate cares more about money and taxes and than...well ANYTHING??

I would be one the last ones to shrug off corruption and extortion as a part of our poltitical system, even as true as it may be.

I don't care if that was directed toward me, I still laugh every time I see it. Even had that sweet haircut when I was little.
