Wow, you're eating up the World Herald's daily spoon fed Stohert campaign ads?
Oh, so this didn't take place?  There were more than 5 business people?  Are you saying the OWH is lying about the conversations had with those present?

Just because they're not taking a public position on the election doesn't mean that they don't support the mayor.

I'm saying the World Herald went looking for an angle to make Suttle look bad(like every other recent election related "article" ) and Stothert (who the WH endorsed) sound like a level-headed non-psychopath.

So Stothert is a "psychopath?"

What other articles are there?  This article seems to be pointing out facts not trying to smear somebody.

EDIT, I found this article.  Why are there columnists that work for OWH writing this?

At least Buffett isn't exerting any editorial influence since Berkshire bought the paper. He recently endorsed Suttle.

I'm sure, since she isn't a bleeding-heart liberal.

Jim Suttle: 'What we have here (in the Mayor's office) is a failure to communicate.'
Jean Stothert: Possessing all of Hal Daub's grace, and none of his vision.

Jean Stothert should pay Jim Suttle to talk more.
Jean's handlers have worked miracles to soften up her image.  Whatever they were paid, they earned their money.

Elaborate.  Examples.

However, I am guessing your definition is "someone who I disagree with."

Supposedly the make-up of the voters tends to varry a lot between primary and today.  Not sure it will make a difference, but thats what Suttle is depending on. It likely wont work like this in 13 but didnt Daub also win last time, only to lose once it came down to two?

I would assume the reasoning would be all of the voters motivated to vote for Stothert or simply against Suttle showed up for the primary.  ie, she has all the votes she's going to get.

That being said, I'm on record as thinking Stothert will win so we can get back to real values because gays or whatever.

I guess I missed her anti-gay campaigns, or did they ever exist?

Conversely, she couldn't be any more misguided than Engineer Suttle, who's attacking guns, all while failing to realize that the overwhelming majority of gun crimes and murders in Omaha, are a result of gangbangers with six shooters.

She was very openly leading the charge against the gay workplace protection ordinance.

Jean Stothert Under Review by Attorney General’s Office

So you've got one guy whos clueless about how to pragmatically address gun crimes, and a chick who hates gays. Mort still on the ballot?

She was very openly leading the charge against the gay workplace protection ordinance.

She basically argued that the city ordinance would discriminate against churches and their right to discriminate based upon religion.

If she really wants to win, she should have pulled the page from the Mike Fahey play book where he took it to Daub about the potholes and won!

The roads in this town are terrible!

I imagine the 100+ temperature may contribute to this.  Who wants to leave the A/C to go outside or into a car that's been baking in this heat?

For those that do not want to vote, they will find a reason.  For those that care to be part of the process it will nt be too hot, cold, wet, dry etc.

to anyone that lives around the millard area

I find it funny how millard citizens, who are die-hard conservatives, will be the first in line to vote for a tax increasing bond (which i have no problem with) but complain about Suttle's taxes which helped Omaha get out of debt. Lots of folks here wanted suttle out because of his taxes. talk about the double standard
