By the way, that chick has a smokin' body.
The only problem I can see if that the public is not allowed up on equipment for liability reasons (Not just the girl, but anyone).
If anyone can get up there, then who cares... Â Waste of time and tax dollars instigating this.

Yep, just more fake outrage perpetuated by the "bored" media. I guess if this is "news", then that is good news.Bosco55David wrote:Pretty much a non issue. Local news trying to drum up ratings like usual.

Good lord. I can't decide if they legitimately have nothing else better to do or if there's something going on that they want to distract us from.

Kind of like the whole TM/GZ media distraction, perpetuated by the executive office and his henchman, Eric Holder. : )RNcyanide wrote:Good lord. I can't decide if they legitimately have nothing else better to do or if there's something going on that they want to distract us from.

What a waste of time money... Â
Its not like they don't have 3 shootings to investigate from yesterday...

Yay for balanced news coverage!!! I wonder what we've missed about the NSA's activities thanks to that?S33 wrote:Kind of like the whole TM/GZ media distraction, perpetuated by the executive office and his henchman, Eric Holder. : )RNcyanide wrote:Good lord. I was being more facetious, but it definitely is a good example of a non-story taking the headlines thanks to the media and president. I'm sure Americans have more important |expletive| to worry about than Trayvon Martin and Zimmerman, just like Omaha's don't really give a flying |expletive| about some chick sticking her |expletive| out on a fire truck.RNcyanide wrote:Yay for balanced news coverage!!! Omaha police will lead investigation of photos of woman on fire engine
Erin Golden: World-Herald staff writer wrote:Marty Bilek, Stothert's chief of staff, said the decision to have police investigators probe the incident was made "for the sake of fairness and impartiality," given recent dust ups between the Mayor's Office and fire administrators.

Funny I honestly didn't even know that she was pregnant haha my ignorance of said baby was a shock to everyone at work... I guess other countries news is better than our own at this point.jessep28 wrote:Don't forget the royal baby.S33 wrote:I was being more facetious, but it definitely is a good example of a non-story taking the headlines thanks to the media and president. Well, HerHonor has it in for the Fire Department, the Fire Chief, and the Fire Union, so it's a convenient excuse to come down very heavy on them.RNcyanide wrote:Good lord. Also a convenient way to drive a wedge into the solidarity between the Police/Fire communities.
Jeesh! It's a bachelorette party! It's good clean fun! Every fire station I've ever known invites people to come in and yes, look at the equipment and yes, climb on it.
(Maybe she's p*ssed because she wasn't invited to the b'ette party?)
Just watch, there will be some kind of an over-reaching new "policy" regarding civilians in fire stations!

Saw the pic from the OWH and can't see how this gets any kind of investigation. Â What does is when they use their facility for a bachelor party or perhaps have photos that would only be shown in the "european edition" of the OWH.RNcyanide wrote:Good lord. I suspect that there is enough evidence of some error that it warrants an investigation. Â The fire chief was trying to cover it up by having his brother-cousins, er fellow firemen investigate it. Â Stothert wants some serious scalpage with this guy and is going to let the OPD have at it so she can wait for the head to fall into the basket and keep her hands clean.
The fire chief doesn't understand that she is the wife of the guy who spent a couple of decades as the fire department's MD. Â Much of that time as an unpaid volunteer who was rudely s-canned by this chief. Â He knows where the bodies are buried and pillow talk is way more powerful than a job action. Â He is like a slice of Orsi bread at Louie M's, toast.
Totally forgot about that. A bit unprofessional of her if that is her modus operandi, but understandable.bigredmed wrote:Saw the pic from the OWH and can't see how this gets any kind of investigation. Try that at your job Omababe. Â We let kids come into our office for different reasons. Â I assure you this type of behavior opens up a completely different can of worms that would not be tolerated in 99% of workplaces.Omababe wrote:Well, HerHonor has it in for the Fire Department, the Fire Chief, and the Fire Union, so it's a convenient excuse to come down very heavy on them.RNcyanide wrote:Good lord. One of my friends from back home is an OFD firefighter. When this all came out, he posted literally about a hundred pictures he had taken over the years of little kids who had come in and wanted to see the firetrucks. And yes, almost all of them were on/in the equipment.jessep28 wrote:The only thing I think needs to be addressed is letting people stand on the equipment. Imagine if she lost her footing and fell down.
From what I have seen on tv, I kind of think the only "violation" that occurred here is that they were in there after visiting house.
