Wow! That's really cool. I don't think I could climb it on the under side though like the guy in the picture.

Why does the expression "more guts than brains" keep going thru my mind when I see things like this?

LOL, I thought the same a couple years ago when I was up at Yosemite and they had telescopes set up to watch the guys climbing. One guy actually slept overnight on the rock face!

This isn't directly about Offutt, but I was looking up old documentaries on the Strategic Air Command after I got home tonight and found this one. It's kind of boring in that it mostly covers the command and control aspect of SAC, but it has a lot of footage from the early 60's of the underground command post at Offutt.

I laughed out loud when I read that the kid did that at a Steel Panther concert. They're a parody metal band kind of like Spinal Tap, only more vulgar. Some of their songs include "17 Girls in a Row" and "Eatin' Ain't Cheatin""

Thats exactly what I was thinking. From being right above the stadium to when he lands only takes about 8 seconds.

You ever heard of Apocalyptica?

They play Metalica with 4 Cellos.

I think I have a CD around here somewhere (Haven't listened to it in over a decade).

This rescue from a massive apartment fire in Houston is more incredible than cool. Unless you want to hear dumb background narration, mute the video:
