America's contribution to history is that at its very beginning, a man rose up, lead the most powerful military force on the NA continent to a crushing victory over a global superpower, had the love an devotion of the members of that military force, the love of most of the nation, and was one of the richest landowners in the nation. Â He came to Congress armed to the teeth. Â He was surrounded by similarly armed men who would have killed on command for him. Â
What did he do? Â He put his sword on the desk and resigned to go home to be with his wife. Â That simple act changed history. Â Until that point, every man or woman in that situation would have declared themselves king/queen and everyone would have kissed the guy's ring and sworn allegiance to the new ruler as the old ruler was killed along with his family.
Our country has freed the world from fascism and communism. Â Our country spends more money on charity than any other. Â Our country is a bastion of hope and an inspiration to the world.
Yep, we are the greatest country in the world, ever.

What I hate about these political phrases is how they get used till they are not an advantage anymore, even though the underlying problems haven't been fixed and we are still heading towards a bad place.GetUrban wrote:"Fiscal Cliff"
Sick of it already.
...and where did the phrase "I know, right?" come from? (already mentioned above) Seems like it kind of came out of nowhere.....unless it was in some movie I didn't see.
