Newsweek Ending Print Edition

At a time when Buffett has his company buying up newspapers one of the well known icon names in print media is going 100% digital.  Can't say I am suprised but what I am going to read while at the dentist waiting room, can't handle Ladies Home Journal.

An inevitable change but sad in a way too.

Newsweek is ending its print edition and transitioning to an all-digital format by the end of 2012, editor Tina Brown announced on Thursday.

The magazine has been in print since 1933. That will end after its Dec. 31 issue. The shuttering of the print edition will inevitably seen as a harbinger of things to come for the wider industry.

The all-digital tablet edition will be called Newsweek Global. it will launch in early 2013 and require a paid subscription.

Maybe I should just stop going to the dentist!

Of course everything is usally about a year old on the table so I have about a year to figure it out.
