TEDx Omaha

Post by morgan »

Hi all,

Just wanted to share a contest we're running along with TEDxOmaha. We're giving away 2 tickets to the sold out event and all you have to do is come up with a good idea!

The lineup of speakers is pretty awesome - here are a few that we've interviewed:
# Nancy Kirk of the Tri-Faith Initiative
# Lamarr Womble, founder of Passion for Leadership
# Rebecca Lowry, All Young Girls Are Machine Guns
# Rita Paskowitz, Professional Storyteller

The basic idea is to post an idea worth spreading to change Omaha for the better. Feel free to post your idea here too for others to see.

Good luck!

TED Omaha

We live in a social ocean. We are subject to constant physical and mental forces, many of which are unrecognized. Our personalities are a collection of stories, events, realities, and imagined situations. Everything around us – our history, our physical environment, our community – affects us. And we affect all of it, too. It’s influence.

TEDxOmaha will be held on Saturday, October 26th. We have invited 14 remarkable speakers and performers to share Influence with you. The influences we recognize. Ones we don’t understand. How the influence of a mentor shaped the way we see the world. How the world shapes our health. Influence is the push and pull on all of our experiences, internally, externally, globally.

Tickets will go on sale Monday, September 9th. Now, meet our friends...

Of course they're having one of these after I leave. I've always wanted to go to one!
