Ideas and Blogging with Wendy Townley
This workshop is just right for writers, bloggers, those who journal and anyone looking for a little creative inspiration. It will feature an overview of the writing process; where to find ideas, where to write and how to stay motivated. Townley has been an avid blogger since 2003 at http://www.wendywriter.com and her first book, NerdyThirty, was published in 2010.

Self-Publishing with Wendy Townley and Michael Campbell
In this workshop participants will learn about securing a publisher or self-publishing work, locally, regionally and nationally. Workshop attendees are encouraged but not required to bring their manuscript ideas or works-in-progress to discuss with the group. Workshop instructor, Wendy Townley will be joined by Michael Campbell. Campbell published his first book, Are You Going to Eat That? in 2009 and has been a regular humor columnist for Omaha’s Food & Spirits Magazine.

Promoting your Writing with Wendy Townley
Today the role of promoting one’s work falls more and more to the author. With the right approach, buzz can be built when the pitch comes from the authors themselves. Whether in a smartly placed newspaper feature, magazine profile, or radio interview, the trick is to know how to get the coverage in the first place. This workshop will focus on how to promote written work using traditional media relations, event planning, and social media marketing.

Registration is on our website: http://www.omahacreativeinstitute.org/?page_id=76

Each workshop is $35 or you can sign up for all three for $90. Please email natalie@omahacreativeinstitute.org with any questions.
