I'm sure they'll find a way to make it worse.

Got a friend who works on the Omaha.com site.   I have a feeling that the layout and subscription systems will be better than now.

He is a sharp guy.  Reason for hope.

Well if they make the subscription system better then they will lose me as a reader. At least I can get around it right now. I'm not willing to pay for a site that still has ads on it.

Hopefully the paywall will still be easy to get around.

The new design looks prettier. Although, the boxes that automatically drop down when your mouse scrolls over the section headings are annoying. Work also needs to be done to fix duplicate links on the front page for stories posted in multiple sections.

I just checked it out.

Big eye-catcher this morning is "Sex advice in baseball terms ...", which is only a few paragraphs. No mention of "second base" and the like. :)

I did not get caught in any "Premium Content" trap.

Yeah, reminds me of what ESPN's site does which I've always found a bit annoying.

An overall improvement though.

So has anyone ran into a pay-wall yet? I hope they finally just got rid of it. They have way more than enough ads on the site.

I just wish they would get rid of that d@mn rollover ad at the top of the page. I hate accidentally rolling over it and then trying to get rid of it. At least WOWT made theirs disappear as soon as you moved your mouse away from the ad.

I've always used Chrome's Incognito mode in the past, but was hoping that they would come to their senses and get rid of it.

Looks like Mr Buffett is expanding his newpaper empire.

http://www.omaha.com/article/20130225/M ... ulsa-world

Warren Buffett's newspaper group said Monday it would buy the Tulsa (Okla.) World daily newspaper.

BH Media Group, a division of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., is to purchase the newspaper for an undisclosed amount from the Lorton family of Tulsa, which has owned the World for four generations. The sale is to close in March.
For the record  NEBUGEATER does not equal BUGEATER    !!!!!!!
