Though I rarely post, I've actually actively followed eOmaha since 2005 when I was a Sophomore in high school, so I feel like a self-proclaimed forums vet.
It is on Saturday the 11th, starting with tours we have yet to finalize ending up an some old Market establishment (Still have yet to hear back from Borgata's) around 5:00

I'm trying to make this a National Holiday, but so far I can't find anyone to sponsor the bill.

I'm in a wheelchair, so I don't know how much of the tours I'll do, but I'll try and be at any place we eat or hang out.

Wouldn't a lot of these new/newly renovated buildings have to be ADA compliant?

Most are, some have sections grandfathered in... I was more talking about the distances we'd have to walk from place to place and what not. Could be difficult in January.

Borgata's is a few weeks away from opening - provided they get that liquor license.
They got it!  It's Facebook official.

We are starting to get initial planning on the tours. So fas we may get a tour of the Antiquarium building in process, and the Stokes (NE corner of 11th & Howard) as our first tours. We may also have a print of the Bob Kerry Bridge as a drawing prize for someone who attends.

We are up to 29 RSVP's, so keep them coming in!

Photo from first forum meetup in 2003... the phpbb form of the forum actually existed in 2003... archive.org shows posts appearing as early as June. I can't recall precisely when the migration from the Omaha Chamber forum began... it seems like there was some protracted downtime, or was it more trolls taking it over? which preceded their forum being removed entirely (~2005?).

For that first forum meet, we met at Rick's... then did a tour of the Drake Court renovation project.

Is it too late to add Mrs. guy4Omaha to the invite list? Can she you my avatar?
My old signature got too old. So old it was getting almost as old me as me. Yeah, it was up there in years.

Speaking of spouses... Mrs. Stargazer will not be able to attend. It's just me. As for avatar... I don't even recall what my older avatar(s) looked like. So unless someone remembers for me, I guess you can just use the current one (or head shot from that 1st forum meet photo will suffice I guess... show how much I've aged!)
