Ice Skating at UNMC

Post by Midtown Gal »

Jamie from Destination Midtown sent this to me.  Just thought I would share in the event anyone likes outdoor ice skating.

UNMC skating rink offers $10 family pass on Saturdays

The University of Nebraska Medical Center’s outdoor skating rink is offering a $10 pass for the entire family on Saturdays until Feb. 28 when it closes. The pass includes admission and skate rental.

The rink, which opened in December, is located between 40th Street and 42nd Street, and Dewey Avenue and Emile Street.

The Saturday family pass is valid between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Regular hours are weekdays from 4 to 8 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sundays from noon to 8 p.m. The rink also is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Regular admission, which includes skate rental, is $5 for individuals and $20 for families of five or more.

Parking is available in marked campus surface lots 14, 53, 39 and 15S, located off of 40th and 41st Streets, between Dewey Avenue and Emile Street. The lots are located northeast, east and south of the ice rink.

Parking maps and more information are available at http://www.unmc.edu/skate

Does anyone else think this is akin to a tire repair place putting broken glass and nails in the street in front of their place? :;):

No,
99% of cars would get a flat tire.
99% of skaters don't get hurt
