Those routes are precisely what Rapid City offers, with no airport competition within several hours driving time. GRI is growing by offering what Lincoln cannot. We flew out of GRI last week to Albuquerque. It was about $20 a ticket more than Southwest from Omaha, mainly because of lack of decent "Getaway" pricing for the dates we wanted. Plus, the flying time was a lot shorter, being an easy 90 degree angle for the route with no backtracking from Phoenix, plus no drive to Omaha or parking fees. When we got to the parking lot, I'd estimate nearly a third of the plates there were alpha/numeric metro counties.
