The Drought and Fires of 2012

Its crazy out there.  I drove over the Platte River out by two rivers last Friday.  The west channel is completely dry and the east channel is really low.  

We use to go to the Niobrara River a every summer and I see a lot of the place we pass on the news all burnt up.  The place we usually camp, http://rockyfordoutfitters.com , has had some close calls, but they seem to be ok so far.
