My bad, apologies to anyone fortunate enough to be from Red Oak.

Still, I have to wonder why APM would invest in a community that's decreased in population by over 20% in my lifetime.

Well, my Council Bluffs friend, I think Prochaska has an office in Red Oak, as well. I think there must be enough regional business to attract them.

Two architecture firms seems like overkill for the Red Oak area. Especially since the trickle of buildings they build there don't look like any architects were involved.

Its 2012.  It doesn't really matter where the office is as long as its connected to the internet.  I would guess one of the partners lives down that way and doesn't want to drive to Omaha every day.

Big companies like HDR have people all over the world working on the same project sometimes.

Brad made a good point. I would also add that architects work on many different projects, aside from class A office complexes.
