Some how I missed you post coyote. There were some great clouds that day!

Here is a time lapse I made of the storm from last night. Started it around midnight and ran it until a little after 3am.

9+ Inches of rain and still raining in Council Bluffs.

Bill Ramby was acting like no big deal, Flowers was acting like people should go home early and businesses should close. LaPoint was right in the middle.

At least for now, the sun is peaking out every now and then and its 43 degrees. That will help to keep too much snow from accumulating.

Here is a webcam of Cedar Falls, IA right now:

I am guessing its two fold.
1. It adds hype to the storm, which drives ratings...
2. Social media, people can hashtag the storm, which goes back to the hype.

That said, searching hashtags on twitter is nice. storm rolls in to Omaha I usually check out #NEWX and #OMAWX

Didn't even have to brush off the car this morning. False alarm. (Not my week to use the garage.)

The TV weather "gurus" predicted 1-3 inches for Omaha and Lincoln. I got a few flakes in the air for about 10 minutes, and nothing at all on the ground. I live in the middle of Omaha.
So, about a million people were fooled into hitting the grocery and liquor stores and gas stations, and now our tanks are topped off and fridges full, and best of all, no sore backs!
But I do get tired of all of this Chicken Little talk on the TV news. I swear last night the channel 6 weather guy was up on their deck with a few flurries in the air, almost begging for it to snow harder so they wouldn't all come off looking like fools.

Yeah that was a little irritating... Although, I do like the snow, and was actually disappointed.

There were some idiots out there driving around that day. I literally tried to lose traction in my truck with just rear wheel drive and couldn't do it, yet there were people driving like it was 4 inches of snow. This |expletive| needs to stop.
