Iowa's Coca-Cola capital is preparing to celebrate with collectors from around the country at Coca-Cola Days, Sept. 22-24. This is the 14th year for the event.
The 2006 theme is "Coca-Cola: A Rock 'n Roll Classic" and begins Friday evening with an all-town tailgate party from 5 to 7 p.m. at the newly restored Rock Island Depot at 102 Chestnut Street, Pross said. Featuring grilled burgers and brats, and a bottomless glass of icy-cold Coca-Cola with every meal, she said the tailgate serves as a welcome party for collectors from all over the country who will display their wares at the Show, Swap and Sell on Saturday. The cost of the meal is $6.50 and the public is invited, Pross said
