BROKEN BOW, Neb. - Twenty years ago, the Arrow Hotel was a condemned wreck, a broken-down palace of cracked windows and dusty dreams on a town square out of Norman Rockwell.
Today, the three-story brick building has gone from eyesore to eye-catching elegance.
Thank a onetime luggage boy, a couple of ambitious decorators, a youthful restaurateur and a hog farmer who wanted a cushy place to smoke a cigarette for the new Arrow, which is drawing customers as it did in its heyday, the 1930s.
