Letterman and rattlesnakes in NE

Post by Big E »

I came in late.  Does anyone know why Dave was talking about rattlesnakes in the Sandhills tonight?

Dave had commented on how he and an audience member from Nebraska were trying to figure out which hotel on "the main drag" in Scottsbluff Dave was familiar with. Dave finally remembered that it was a Hampton Inn. He didn't mention if and when he'd been there. Several minutes later he brought up the rattlesnake comparison of prairie rattlers in Nebraska are smaller but just as deadly as the diamondbacks of the deserts.

I found this article from KNEB radios website, dated October 14th:
No one is saying why he was here, but KNEB News has learned late night talk show host David Letterman and his family flew into Scottsbluff Thursday night, and stayed overnight at the Hampton Inn. Valley Airways owner Dick Bosn says Letterman arrived with his girlfriend and son at 10:30 last evening, and gave Bosn's son a $120 tip for bringing a car out to the plane. KNEB News learned that a plane arrived earlier in the day Thursday and reportedly a number of saddles were unloaded. Letterman only reserved one night at the Hampton Inn.
