Even though you can't drink on it, if you're group is looking for a drinking night on the town, a pub crawl on the Patio Ride is really, really fun!  You'll have just as much fun hopping from bar to bar on the bike.  This thing is GREAT for pub crawls.

That thing makes me laugh. Not that it's a bad idea, cuz it isn't, it's just funny. But yes, I'm picturing a midget bartending in the center pouring shots in between bars. Maybe even making balloon animals for the riders, too.  :) lets make that happen

It is a dinner where you have one course at one site then go to another for second...
Sort of like Bar-Hopping but it is for food.

I like the whole idea of the Patio Ride.  It is always good to see something new and interesting in the area.  It is all these little things that can set Omaha apart.

Hello OmahaJaysCU - what do you like about the pedal tavern that is different than the Patio Ride?

No, it says they want to change the laws but as of now you can't drink on that one either.

Milwaukee passed a law two years after they started to allow drinking on the Pedal Tavern.  At the moment, Omaha drinking laws don't allow us to do the same.  Maybe one day though!

If you want a drinking night, it's still a blast to take this bike out and bar hop.  The beer tastes even better after pedaling this huge bike around the city.  I'm not just saying that either, it really does.  It's your reward for the work you put in...

Some one told me a few months back when they went on a baseball trip to see the Brewers they did one and it served alcohol.  Maybe what they did wasn't legal?  Or more likely they were full of it...

Now that's an idea.  This thing would be very popular around the CWS.
We missed out this year for the CWS but we will be full throttle for next years CWS.  Keep us in mind!

I was working on some photos for the Omaha Chamber's annual magazine last weekend. I had to get a few photos of the Omaha Patio Ride. While talking to the guy running the ride, he says they now have 2 "Bikes" running around the old market.

Here is the new bike.

3. Guessing this one will end up on the cutting-room floor...

Yeah, I think the new one has LED lights under the canopy that change colors. I saw it last weekend.
