DIY car wash

Post by Big E »

Old Market Car Wash and whatever the one was on 39th & Leavenworth are out of commission.

Anyone have a suggestion for a reliable self wash anywhere near downtown, or along Dodge west of 680?

That new car doesn't have a self cleaning option?

It's called "park outside until it rains", but it's kind of unreliable.

Haha, well that might work today and tomorrow.

As far as your question, I can't really think of any in your area.  The 2 that I used in the past were 108th and Maple and 90th north of Maple.  However lately I have been using Russel Speeders (which is not do it your self) on Saddlecreek near UNMC.

Is it worth a damn?  I hate going to these places and not having hot water or soap.

There's one over in the Lake Manawa Power Center shopping center...  Its not downtown, but not too far a drive.

Its between that center strip mall and Sam's Club (roughly the south eastern part of the shopping center).

In front of Walmart next to the independent gas pumps.

I have used it a few times but it has been a while.  Unless it is vastly improved it is not getting any more of my   $0.25's

So close, its almost in Downtown:

3518 W Broadway St, Council Bluffs, IA 51501

While you are over there, you can get that cheap Iowa gas too...  :;):

I was going to suggest CB, as well. In fact, isn't West Broadway mainly gas stations and car washes?

Gasoline, as in motor vehicle fuel, is usually $.10-.15 cheaper on the Iowa side, and sometimes as much as $.20 per gallon! I always fill up there when I'm over there most weekends.
