Discount Tire

According to Grow Omaha Discount Tire will open 2 new locations in Omaha

78th and Cass in the former Block Buster
144th and Center where Sizzler is now.

If they wanted to save a little money on signage, they could go with the approach taken by a liquor store that opened in a former Hollywood Video where I went to college:

The irony in Seth's post, which is probably lost on some here, is that Hollywood Video was a chain that started in Omaha (yes, Nebraska... if my time warped brain hasn't let me down again).

I observed today that the former Blockbuster is being gutted out.   New owner is Discount Tire.

Shows that the property is still on market and being promoted as a recently remodeled restaurant.  Dunno bout this location.

AS of today property says Off Market when you go to Link and if it was still on Market I could Watch it and so on.

I was in Omaha today and went by the 78th and Cass area. They had all the windows out of the building. It even looks like they was putting new concrete in the build because they had a concrete pumper truck arm in the air, but at the angle that I was at, I could not see anything else.

I can't find the post from someone who asked about the building going in front of Menard's on 120th & Dodge, but it is another Discount Tires. I can't remember how many other stores are opening up in the Metro area but the one near 144th and W Center seems almost ready to open.

I drove by the one outside Menardeds the other day and it looks like they are damn close to being done putting the block up...
