Omaha’s First E-Commerce and Saas Technology Startup Accelerator Announces Demo Day
Seven tech startups and more than 100 investors will face off during a ‘Shark Tank’ themed Demo Day in Omaha, Neb., on October 3.

PR Web wrote:Omaha’s first tech accelerator, Straight Shot, will host a "Shark Tank" inspired Demo Day on October 3, and many of the venue’s 400 seats have already been reserved by some of the Midwest’s most notable investors, entrepreneurs and business leaders. Among the "Sharks" participating in the investor panel are Dave Knox of The Brandery and Blair Garrou of the Mercury Fund.

The impressive progress made by the seven startups halfway into the e-commerce and SaaS accelerator has attracted best-in-class mentors and spurred early interest from the investment community.

Omaha keeps upping it's tech startup profile.  This is really cool to see.

Here is a mention of a handful of the next set of startups set to be apart of Straight Shot. This profiles the 3 Chicago based companies moving to Omaha for 90 days.

From the outside, Omaha might not sound like a big city for budding entrepreneurs, but a new accelerator is giving seven companies a leg up this year, including three Chicago-based companies.

Over half of the second class of start-ups at accelerator Straight Shot come from beyond Nebraska’s borders, showing not only the strength of the program but the need for these networks in the Midwest. Straight Shot aims to bring capital, expertise and a mentorship program to the Midwest. Classes start in June, but three Chicago-based companies are already making strides.
