First American Title Insurance Co., one of the nation’s largest title insurance companies, has moved its regulatory home from California to Nebraska.
The company, which will keep its headquarters in Santa Ana, California, is the latest of several insurance companies to switch official domiciles to Nebraska, which has favorable tax policies for insurers. The Nebraska Department of Insurance requires the companies to locate offices in the state. First American has a 22-person office at 13924 Gold Circle.
Other insurance companies switching domiciles to Nebraska include Pacific Mutual, American Interstate Insurance Co., Fidelity National Title Group and Aflac Inc.
