A payments technology company based near London has chosen Omaha as its U.S. headquarters.

Eckoh, which specializes in payments security services for fraud prevention and call centers in addition to payment technology for companies including Carnival Cruises, is leasing office space in the Westfield Office Park near Westroads Mall.

The company has been searching for a U.S. operations base for about a year and a half, according to a statement from Nancy Czarnick, president of Eckoh Secure Payments.
