Jensen Tire & Auto starts construction on new HQ in Sarpy County
Omaha-based Jensen Tire & Auto has begun building a new $4 million headquarters in Sarpy County.

The first phase of the new building near 144th Street and Interstate 80 will include 8,200 square feet for offices, a 14,000-square-foot distribution center and a classroom for sales associate training.

A second phase, to begin in a few years, will include a training facility and classroom for auto technicians, owner Matt Jensen said.

The company has outgrown its current office and warehouse space near 106th and I Streets, Jensen said. The expanded facility will poise the company for growth throughout the Midwest.

“We just felt we needed to get the infrastructure built up before we moved and started expanding,” he said.

Jensen said the company settled on the Sarpy County site at 13572 Lyman Drive because of its close Interstate access and proximity to the current office, which is leased. Jensen bought the 4½ acres about seven years ago as a future location.

Oh I know. I'm just thinking about the people working there. I feel like they could spring for some bigger windows.

I agree, no one will see it but employees, but I think even their retail stores look better.

Marty from 1985 is back and wants to take the building design with him.
