Absolutely love Orange is the New Black. Can't wait for the second season. We should change the title of this thread to 'NetFlix Discussion.'
When fortune smiles on something as violent and ugly as revenge, it seems proof like no other that not only does God exist, you're doing his will.

The remaining 300 or so Blockbuster stores in the US will be closed by early Jan.

I was going to post the closing but its already mentioned.

This is a great case of what happens when companies do not keep up with the changes in technology or service.

We used to be regular customers.  Then cable On Demand and Netflix rendered the whole concept irrelevant.  It is amazing to watch how technology is changing our literal landscape right before our eyes.  I recall when Applause! Video, and later Blockbuster swept across the landscape in the 1980s.

I used to enjoy the Applause on 84th & Dodge.    The large signage that would change with the movie themes looked neat.   Usually a motorized small scale of some aspect of the movie.   The old red barn looking building.

This is on par with what's come out of SNL for the past 15 or so years, but they did a tribute skit to Blockbuster on Saturday:

And here we are in 2021 with the last Family Video closing in Omaha.

Now down to only one Blockbuster left in the entire United States.... in Bend, OR.
