I wonder if they're going to use that SE corner of 144th and Q and take down the building or build further south?

Wow, big improvement.

Weird, Kum & Go has decided to DBA in other states as Splat & Scat, Sperm & Split, and Shoot & Scoot. Their marketing department must be interesting.

S33 and Byrdrules, very nice. Yeah, that name is pretty much absurd.

Heck yeah!!! I was hoping we could get growlers at bars... This is a whole new level of awesome!

Beer growlers available at new Kum & Go

http://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/ ... /80514246/
Kum & Go, the West Des Moines-based convenience store chain, opens its newest and biggest store Thursday that features an expanded fresh food menu and a growler station with fresh craft beers for takeout.
A growler station offers a selection of eight craft beers, three of which are from Iowa breweries. Customers can buy a 32- or 64-ounce take-home container or bring in their own to fill with their choice of fresh beer, said Kristie Bell, Kum & Go communications director.

The company started including growler stations into the new store design after the Iowa Legislature last year approved growler sales in convenience stores.

“This gives customers another choice and the option of fresh beer,” she said.

I wonder if this will make it to Council Bluffs? Or if the Nebraska Legislature follows suit...

I'd be OK with a little Keg Creek on tap in the bluffs!

What ever happened with Nebraska's version of this law?

Which one? LB914 was indefinitely postponed during the last legislature...
LB330 I thought was signed...
LB 486 with amendment was amended into LB 330 and appears in section 8. The section allows a Class C licensee to apply for a limited bottling endorsement, which would allow the holder to fill a container, commonly referred to as growlers, up to 32 ounces for consumption off the licensed premises. These containers must be sealed, sanitary, and display the endorsement holder's trade name or logo. The container must also have the receipt with it. The application fee is $300.

Yes, LB330 was passed and signed:

Assuming it will be similar to the renovation they just completed at 168th and Maple. I wonder if they will use the empty space in the western end of the building that they have been unable to lease since it was built.

I've seen E15 gasohol at Kum N Go in Omaha. 88 octane and 10 cents cheaper than the 87 octane. The E15 and E85 used the same pump nozzle, and the straight gasoline used a different nozzle on the same pump station. (Sorry my gas station lingo may be a bit off)

Okay, I might as well ask this one here too. Can anyone point me to any kind of an accurate reference stating which vehicles can and cannot use E15 gas without all kinds of expensive nasty damage being done?

I phoned the dealership (Edwards) and they said to the effect "it should be ok" but I did not get a warm fuzzy feeling. On the web and from guys who know cars you'll get things like it should be good for xxxx model years (most common seem to be 2001, 2007, 2012) and newer all the way to things like it will blow the engine and it's some kind of conspiracy by the politicians and the TLA.

Anyone know anything in authority?

From what I have read a few placed if you can use E10 you can use E15. Nothing to link to that but that is what I believe to be true.

On using E15 blends, there's no definitive answer. Only in the past few years have auto makers been certifying vehicles to use it. If your vehicle is a Flex Fuel car or truck, then going to E15 probably won't hurt it since it can run on E85.

I wonder if they all will? It seems to be the case adding those kitchen type areas. I'm also wondering once they start on the one at 132nd and Fort. if they will take over the bay to the west that has been empty since the building was built.

The one across the street from Hefflinger was originally an desert/oasis themed Conoco. At the minimum, they probably want to match the interior to what their other stores are like.

Work is well underway now at the 132nd and Fort location. They have set up what appears to be a temporary store in the bay to the west while the main store is closed off for construction inside.

Still lots of work to do at both 132nd and Fort and 108th and Maple as of today.

It's coming along now. It's does look like they have permanently expanded into the western bay that's never had a tenant. (I'm referring to the 132nd and Fort location)

Interior complete at 132nd and Fort. They added a walkin cooler there. It's about as nice of a c store as I have ever been in.

Anyone know what may be planned for the land on the other side of Fort? It's been sold, but owner is a law firm. Thats a big enough parcel for a QT or other competitor.

Should be a good location once the new 180th Street Bridge over the UPRR and Papio Creek is finished.

I thought Growlers were 64 ounces?
Kum and Go testified today for LB632. Said they would start selling growlers in Nebraska only if Nebraska raised Growler size for retailers from 32 oz to 64 oz.

They are now working on the exterior of the one on 132nd and Fort. The one at 110th and Maple seems to be done on the inside as well. Both are big upgrades.
