I guess I will put this Walgreen's news bit in this thread,

Walgreen's will be opening a 'Walgreen's Specialty Pharmacy' on 77th and Dodge in the former Celerion building.
I had to look this one up, I don't know if there are any others like this in the Metro:

Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy leads the nation in providing injectable, inhaled and infusion therapy as well as oral specialty medications. Our compassionate care is far-reaching and includes:

  • Delivery to the home, physician's office or other locations, such as a Walgreens Specialty Care Center, to provide a more comfortable choice for your members
  • Multidisciplinary teams to help manage and care for patients
  • 24/7 clinical support for patients and providers
  • Therapy management programs with demonstrated outcomes
  • Local nursing support for administering medications and training for injections
  • Access to a breadth of limited-distribution drugs
  • Payer-based reimbursement teams with expertise across medical and pharmacy benefits
  • Care for adult and pediatric patients

Care within reach.
Walgreens specialty services are conveniently available to your members in person through community retail pharmacies and local specialty pharmacies as well as by telephone via our centralized fulfillment pharmacies. So your members enjoy both choice and easy access to specialty medications, including limited-distribution drugs.

Support that matters.
As a top provider of specialty pharmacy services, Walgreens offers unparalleled access to more than 1,000 specialty and limited distribution drugs. As medication administration becomes increasingly complex, we're here to support you. Our coordinated patient management model gives you the flexibility to facilitate care in multiple ACHC- and URAC-accredited treatment locations - expertly delivered by our trained clinicians using established evidence-based guidelines.

I live near 78th & Dodge and have no clue what "Celerion" is or was.

http://www.wowt.com/home/headlines/Letter-To-CVS-CEO-Develop-Site-At-72nd--Maple-NOW-275808511.html

In the letter addressed to CVS President and Chief Executive OfficerLarry J. Merlo, Festersen said CVS "has failed to perform even the basic level of maintenance on the site."

Festersen said the site is "a blight on the neighborhood."

CVS bought the property with the intention of building a new store. Construction was to begin in 2009.

The council president said CVS has not responded to several inquiries he has made concerning the site's care and development.

Festersen said he is instructing the Planning and Law Departments to "pursue any and all avenues to force CVS to mow and maintain the site...remove deteriorating chain link fence, and conduct further grading on the site."

The council president ends the letter stating he is "disappointed in CVS as a corporate citizen" and plans to encourage other council members to unfavorably view any other development and liquor license requests until a "favorable response" is received.

Gas station and Subway are both closed. Who knows if CVS will build the store or just demo the lot and let it sit for years.

I'd have to look back, but this has been in the plans for some time, that corner was slated for redevelopment for years, it should be in a thread somewhere, with the widening if that intersection I don't think they could sit on it...

This thread, on page 4. That SE corner has been slated to become a CVS for about four years now.

I could see that as a good use, especially if Bucky's moves to the west as alluded to here.

I thought I saw something on Twitter about CVS not being in-network prescription provider for BCBS NE anymore because of some disagreement. Do any of you know if this is true or not?

Not a disagreement, it is just that Walgreens signed a big deal with Prime Therapeutics...

Wow that's kind of a shocker. Isn't that a fairly new Bucky's?

Maybe 10 years or so. It has horrible access from the east. And just try to go west after you filled up.

LOL. I always laugh at the people that go west past 60th and try to turn left in to Bucky's, because its way easier to turn left at the light at 60th, and then take a right in to Bucky's.

Yes, that was bad for many years, but now with the new Arbor street open, just take arbor down to the Baxter and then get back on center.

Shhh...don't tell too many people. I take Arbor every day to get into and out of Aksarben Village. It beats having to deal with all the traffic on 60th, especially when they were doing construction.

Its hard to believe they would tear the one down on the SW corner to move to the SE corner.

I don't see age as a factor. Its all in the $$$. The Sonic on 75th and Dodge was less than that before Cutchall sold to Chick-Fil-A.

Umm, Bucky's is already located on the southwest corner of this intersection. Why would they also own land on the southeast corner?
