Stockyards theater?

I heard last night that the uber classy and fancy stockyards theater has closed over night without warning and won't be reopening. Anyone know if it's true? Anyone going to miss it?

I just tried to call them and there was no answer, You have to wonder if discount movie theaters are going away with the video rental stores.

They didn't list movie times in the World-Herald today. Game. Set. Match.

Well, they used to be listed in the paper, and they still are on my iTouch, where I still see movie times for this week at Stockyards. Â Not that I am gonna head to SoutO to catch a flick. Â Mex si, Cine No.

If there was any doubt, I was over that way at noon today making a run to the Stockyards Hyvee. Â the Marque has Â FOR SALE OR LEASE on it rather than the movies playing. Â All the posters in the outside frames are removed.

It is Closed.
